Albas Percival Wulfric is a fictional character created by author Albas Percival Wulfric. Brian Dumbledore was a fictional character in the Harry Potter series of novels written by J.K. Rowling. He was one of the main characters in the series.
Dumbledore, in the grand tradition of Merlin, Gandalf, and Professor X, possessed vast powers at his disposal, but he was better known for being a source of guidance and wisdom for the people entrusted to his care, rather than for his own.
Leave Harry in the care of the Dursley family:
Harry Potter’s first scene is one of the most recognizable scenes in children’s literature. It is nighttime in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” when a strange figure invades an ordinary suburban neighborhood in Britain. Walking up to the main street, an older man with a long beard and even longer robes appears.
He pulls out an ornate lighter and uses a few clicks to capture the light coming from the various lampposts. Albus Dumbledore is now known to the rest of the world. He recognizes a stray cat as Minerva McGonagall, an old friend, and fellow educator, as he walks down the street.
Dumbledore’s actions reveal that this is the beginning of an epic saga, even though the audience does not know the minor child.
Mirror of Errors:
Dumbledore took a break while the audience followed Harry’s journey. Harry’s first few months at Hogwarts are filled with adventure as he meets new people and makes some enemies along the way.
Things turn for the worse when Harry sees himself and his deceased parents together in a magical mirror. After being overcome, the young wizard spends all of his time looking into the mirror.
Again, Dumbledore steps in, this time warning Harry about the dangers of staring too long into the “Mirror of Eris.” Dumbledore First, of many times Dumbledore stepped in to help Harry when he needed it most.
Assisting in a crisis:
In his first year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter was the happiest he had ever been. He was also becoming increasingly aware of the sinister nature of the enormous castle he was living in. Harry became increasingly convinced that Professor Snape, his potions master, was plotting to steal a secret Hogwarts treasure from the school.
A giant troll burst into the castle to bolster his suspicions during a meal. Of course, the entire class went into a state of panic. Despite the thunder and lightning outside, the entire student body began to turn into a mob. When Dumbledore pushed himself to his feet at the head of the teacher’s table, the entire room gasped and applauded in surprise.
The headmaster’s single, stern command quickly brought the Great Hall back to order. Teachers follow the Prefects into the dungeons, dealing with the troll. The students return to their dormitories.
Harry Potter’s victory over Professor Quirrell:
Harry discovered that Snape had been a ruse at the first film’s end. Professor Quirrell was Lord Voldemort’s henchman attempting to steal the Philosopher’s Stone from Hogwarts. Harry was able to stop Quirrell just in time, but he almost died in the process.
Dumbledore walked into the room to check on the young hero when he awoke from his coma in the Hogwarts hospital wing. As a result of what happened next, one of the most heartwarming scenes in the entire franchise was created.
Affirming Harry’s concerns about Voldemort obtaining the talisman, Dumbledore reassured him that his friends were in good health. He even tries one of “Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans” candies, only to laughably exclaim, “Alas, earwax!”
Giving Neville Longbottom the victory he so richly deserves to receive:
Harry Potter was transformed in the first film from the Dursleys’ favorite punching bag to a star athlete and beloved Hogwarts student. Unfortunately, this was not the case for all of the participants. Because of his shyness and clumsiness, the school was a struggle for Neville Longbottom.
Every time Neville tried to impress his classmates or teachers, he failed miserably, as seen in the film. Hermione delivered a stunning spell right in Neville’s face as punishment for his misbehavior. Saving Sirius Black is a top priority. It’s a running joke at Hogwarts that nothing happens without Dumbledore knowing about it.
She could not explain Sirius’s innocence to the adults in the time available to Harry and Hermione. Dumbledore, on the other hand, was well aware of the situation. Once Harry and Hermione had the plan, the headmaster explained how they could save Sirius’s life.
Dumbledore’s plan came together exactly as he had envisioned, and the ancient wizard once again demonstrated that he didn’t need to use his wand to work wonders.
Keeping the Dementors at bay:
At this point, “Potter” had begun to move away from its child-friendly roots and into a darker, more mature realm. Harry was particularly vulnerable to the dementors due to his life’s trauma. During a Quidditch match, the dementors left their position guarding the Hogwarts entrances and entered the grounds.
This brought the problem into sharp focus. Harry Potter was surrounded by ghoulish creatures in the air and fell to the ground unconscious in the middle of a broomstick duel. Dumbledore ascended from the audience stands in the final moments before Harry’s death seemed all but inevitable.
The headmaster’s gesture slowed Harry’s rapid descent, and he could land safely. After saving Harry, Dumbledore single-handedly expelled the army of Dementors from the grounds and returned them to their places of employment.
The fake Mad-Eye Moody:
It was all topped off by Harry being resurrected as an even more powerful version of Lord Voldemort in the final scene. Dumbledore bursts into Harry’s room just as Moody/Crouch is about to kill him and saves him with a single curse. When you read how J.K. Rowling described the headmaster’s arrival in the book, you realize just how grand Dumbledore’s entrance was.
According to JK Rowling, it was “more terrible than Harry Potter could have ever imagined” how Dumbledore’s face looked at the unconscious body of Mad-Eye Moody. “His face was expressionless, and behind the spectacles, there was no twinkle in Dumbledore’s eyes. Dumbledore’s face was etched with cold rage, and he seemed to be radiating power like he was a furnace.”
